Title: Spacetime Curvature I,II,III

This series explores the warping of cosmic fabric described by general relativity. Each vessel reflects gravity’s influence on the geometry of space and time, where mass shapes curvature. Through rugged textures and deep celestial tones, the works evoke an unseen landscape, connecting material form with spatial distortion.

  • Medium: High-fired Stoneware, Cobalt Blue Matte Glaze with Gold Lustre Accents.
  • Technique: Hand-built and slab-constructed with multi-axis manipulation, multiple firings with a final lustre firing to 750°C for the metallic highlights.

Spacetime Curvature I: Shallow Form

A shallow indentation suggests the early formation of a gravitational well, where energy begins to gather. The fractured rim evokes a primordial state as space first yields to mass.

  • 25 × 45 × 33 cm

Spacetime Curvature II: Tall Form

A steepened form traces the deepening of a gravitational well, suggesting the acceleration of time near mass. Its rugged surface evokes scattered light and the tension between expansion and collapse.

  • 48 × 32 × 30 cm

Spacetime Curvature III: Radiant Bowl

A converging form suggests the concentration of matter and energy. Radiating gold lines trace the flow of energy, proposing a fragile continuity of light within extreme curvature.

  • 15 × 42 × 42 cm
