ABOUT

“The beauty of a living thing is not the atoms that go into it, but the way those atoms are put together.” — Richard P. Feynman (Theoretical Physicist)

Anna creates tactile sculptures exploring the hidden structures of complex systems. Her work bridges theory and experience, translating invisible cosmic patterns into sculptural forms and mathematical structures.

Biography

Based in Sydney, Anna is a sculptor and multidisciplinary artist exploring the intersection of traditional craft and contemporary technology. Drawing on her academic background in mathematics and physics, she incorporates geometric structures and scientific concepts into her sculptural practice. Since 2010, she has developed a cross-disciplinary foundation across sculpture, ceramics, and printmaking in Australia, and continues to expand her technical practice at TAFE NSW.

Her hybrid work merges natural and industrial materials with computational design and digital fabrication, investigating how digital logic interacts with organic processes and architectural space. Inspired by fractal systems and cosmic structures, she creates immersive environments where technological precision coexists with natural forms. Her work responds to its environmental context, using scientific phenomena to explore fragility, resilience, and the interconnectedness of natural and human systems.

She was selected as a finalist for the GreenWay Art Prize 2025 for Sentinels of the GreenWay: Silent Guardians of Nature. Beyond her studio practice, Anna has contributed to the arts community over the years through workshops and volunteer roles, including artist assistant positions at the Biennale of Sydney, the Art Gallery of NSW, the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, and various art galleries. Her work is held in educational and public collections, demonstrating an ongoing commitment to material innovation and shared cultural narratives.
