Quantum Fossil 2026
Quantum Fossil investigates the collision between subatomic transience and geological permanence. Inspired by the visual shorthand of Feynman diagrams, this sculpture petrifies the erratic choreography of particle physics into a rigid metallic architecture.
By embedding precision-engineered brass into the organic strata of sandstone, the work manifests the Anthropocene as a period in which human data and natural matter have become an inseparable relic. It stands as a monument to the unseen, capturing a beautiful tension between the uncertainty of the infinitesimal and the absolute certainty of the stone.
- Medium: Polished Brass and Hand-carved Sandstone
- Dimensions: 45 x 30 x 38 cm
- Technique: Laser-cut brass elements are hand-assembled using interference-fit joints, mirroring the rigour of particle physics and anchored within hand-recessed sandstone strata. Sinusoidal lines and nodal spheres reference Feynman diagrams and wave–particle duality.
